Biography

Terri Matheis (pronounced ma-THI-es), Founder and President of the Sassy Pink Peppers, is no stranger to divorce. She is the child of divorce, as well as a divorcee.

It was her personal experience as a teenager which taught her that bitterness and negativity not only affected children in a divorce situation, but also kept women stuck in the past, thereby detracting from the possibility of future happiness.

Therefore, once her own divorce was finalized, Terri purposefully chose to put the negative feelings and experiences in a "mental-drawer", give credit to her "was-band" for being a fabulous father, and view her new single life as an infinite world of possibilities.

It was this same optimism which helped Terri create an original niche in the divorce arena, The Sassy Pink Peppers, governed by Pepper Protocol which precludes male-bashing or dwelling on the negative. The organization is a positive group with the focus on each woman reaching her potential through affirmative thought and action.

Terri, a St. Louis native, is the single mother of four children: three boys in their 20's and a daughter, 15. She has a B.S. in Psychology and is midway through a Masters program in Counseling. She also is an expert in the areas of Divorce and Mid-Life Dating for About.com.
